To donate to the Walkathon, please click the DONATE button below. You will be taken to PayPal's secure processing. You don't need to have a PayPal account to make a donation. You can simply enter credit card information. You can print a receipt for your tax-deductible donation right from PayPal. Paden PTA is a 501(c)(3) and our Tax ID is 943163130.

WHAT IS THE WALKATHON?

It's a fun-filled day of walking, music, and dancing.  Paden's Annual Walkathon is THE major fundraiser for the PTA.  It is a fun way for kids to be active, have fun with friends and raise money for the school.  All donations are full tax-deductible and 100% of the funds raised will stay here at Paden School.   

WHEN IS THE WALKATHON?

The date for the 2018-19 Walkathon is Wednesday, October 17th.   Students and teachers (and any parents and siblings who want to join us) will walk from 9:00 - 11:15am on the lower yard. 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

In late September or early October, students will receive a Walkathon envelope. Kids will ask their friends, neighbors, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, dentists, etc. to support them by pledging or donating money. If someone makes a "flat amount" pledge, students can collect the donation immediately.  If someone makes a "per lap" pledge, students will need to return to that sponsor to collect after October 17th.  We will count the number of laps a student completes whether or not they receive any "per lap" pledges.  Donations can also be made by credit card through PayPal.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

We need volunteers and snack donations to help make this a successful event. It's a fun way to be involved with our school.  Please look for a sign up sheet in the coming weeks to sign up to help. Contact Desiree Del Pin at desireeapadenpta@gmail.com if you have any questions.  If you have participated at a Walkathon somewhere else, we would love to hear from you.  We're always looking for ways to improve our event.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

The money we raise from the Walkathon allows us to pay for: art docent supplies like paint, ink, and clay; field trip transportation and admission fees (at least $25 per child each year); garden supplies; and teacher supplies such as laminators and white board markers. Our wonderful assemblies for each grade level, and our schoolwide celebrations throughout the year also require significant funds. We don't want to have to cut back!

Each grade level is asked to wear a shirt of a particular color:

TK AND KINDERGARTEN      - Yellow

1st GRADE                              - Green 

2nd GRADE                            -  Red

3rd GRADE                             -  Orange

4th GRADE                             -  White

5th GRADE                             -  Blue
